The Gist The hotel is close to popular sightseeing activities like Times Square, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Late Show with David Letterman, among many others. Online reviewers were encouraged by the friendly front desk staff and the hotel's value for the location—noting the large rooms and the rooftop pool (open in summer). If you want to splurge a little, request a room with a city view, dominated by the nearby Time Warner Center. Despite the central location and the sheer size of this 597-room giant, noise isn't an issue—57th street is a surprisingly quiet residential block.
