Why It’s a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare from Miami to San Jose starts from $468 with taxes for travel in mid-June (American Airlines). Add to that $200 per person without taxes for two nights at Arenal Volcano Inn, $271 per person for two nights at Hotel Fonda Vela, and $271 for three nights at Byblos Resort & Casino, and you’d be paying $1,210 for just the airfare and accommodations. For just $128 more than that, this package covers the flight, seven nights’ hotel accommodations, plus a seven-day car rental, daily breakfast, and all taxes and fees.
