Why It’s a Deal A recent Kayak search shows the lowest round-trip airfare from New York City to Cairo starts from $909 in mid-April (Austrian Airlines). Add to that $450 per person, without taxes, for five nights at the Oasis Hotel, and you’re paying $1,359 for airfare and accommodations alone. For just $70 more than that, this package gives you airfare, five nights in an award-winning hotel in downtown Cairo, all arrival and departure transfers, daily breakfast, and all taxes and fees.

More Upgrade to the Ramses Hilton for an extra $165 per person for the five nights. Extra nights at the Oasis Hotel can be added from $59 per person per night, while extra nights at the Ramses Hilton can be added from $79 per person per night. There are several optional tours available, including a Cairo sound-and-light show for $59 per person, a guided full-day tour of the Egyptian Museum with lunch for $89 per person, tours to historical sites in Memphis and Sakkara for $75 per person, a tour of the Great Citadel and Mosque for $75 per person, and a half-day tour of the Pyramids at Dashur Red and Bent for $55 per person.
