Why It's a Deal A recent search on Kayak showed that the lowest round-trip airfare from New York to Rome starts from $689 with taxes for travel in early December (Aer Lingus). Add to that $431 per person including tax for six nights at Eur Suite Hotel Rome, and you'd be paying $1,120 for just the airfare and accommodations.
